Mr. Carlson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth and his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law.  He has been part of the Brown and Carlson team since 2010, initially joining as a Law Clerk and then later as a practicing attorney after passing the bar.  He became a Shareholder in 2019, and a Senior Shareholder in 2024. His sole practice is in the area of Minnesota Workers’ Compensation defense. 

Outside of the office Dan enjoys playing a variety of sports including softball, hockey, fishing, and golf.  As a father of three wonderful girls, his favorite pastime is spending time with his family.
